​A little bit about how Clear Complexion Started

 

My name is Danika. I’m a fully qualified Skin Specialist, Makeup Artist, and Hairstylist in Adelaide. I started my school-based apprenticeship at the age of 15.

I graduated from Media Makeup in 2008 with a diploma in Makeup Artistry and Cert 2 in Hairstyling.

 

I was working part-time at a hairdressing salon in Adelaide. As the years passed, my passion for makeup grew immensely. I experienced working in a number of salons before I took the opportunity to start my own business in freelance makeup.

 

I’ve always been passionate about hair and makeup because I love making others feel good about themselves. It gives them a sense of confidence and glow from within. I am lucky enough to have worked on thousands of faces as my business grew. I was booked out years in advance, and my wonderful clients voted me Makeup Artist of the Year 2018 and 2019.

 

 

My main priority was helping my brides achieve clear skin for their wedding day makeup. I tried to outsource a clinic, but I couldn’t find one with the attention to detail and client care I needed for my brides. I have suffered from eczema my whole life, and I was unable to find someone who could safely treat my sensitive skin. This drove me to research world-wide accredited courses in skin. Once I was qualified, I furthered my skin knowledge by researching every skin concern in detail and attending extra accredited courses to learn about skin anatomy. Paying attention to my clients' feedback, I created perfectly effective treatment plans for each concern.

 

My mission is to give my clients their ultimate skin goal. As my skin business grew, I decided to open a commercial space in Mawson Lakes, SA. I worked doing hair, makeup, and facials while renting out my 2 other rooms and a makeup space. We opened on August 1st, 2020, and by December 2020, I decided to hire my first staff member. In July 2021, I opened my second facial room, and in July 2022, I opened my third facial room.

 

We now have 5 skin specialists, with our main priority is training our team the Clear Complexion way, ensuring our staff provide the same level of care Danika has set out to deliver to her clients.
